Selecting Course Components

Within your Canvas course, you can select which components you would like students to access on their left side Course Component Menu. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. From your dashboard, click on the course tile you would like to edit.

  2. Click on Settings:

  3. At the top of your settings page, click on Navigation:

  4. Drag any components that you want students to access to the top section and anything you do not want students to see to the bottom section.

  5. ***Scroll down and click SAVE at the bottom of the navigation screen!

PRO TIPS:
1. Remember any course components with  not visible.png next to them will NOT be visible to students.  

2. If you have made a course component visible but it still has

not visible.png, then you probably have not yet created or published content within the component.
